Norman 2025 year in review — collisions & arrests
One-year maps from Norman Police Department open data: traffic collisions and person-level arrests. Every mapped point is on the maps: circles group nearby points and split apart as you zoom in (amber on the collision map, dark red on the arrest map), and a white circle is one exact spot. Raw counts — not neighborhood crime rates, not a ranking of guilt.
Collisions · zoomable map and top 10 exact intersections
Every geocoded collision is mapped. Amber circles group nearby collisions (number = total inside) and split as you zoom in; a white circle with an amber ring is one exact intersection or address. The list below counts each exact intersection, with reversed street order merged.

Arrests · zoomable map and top 10 exact addresses
Person-arrests (deduped) placed at case address. Every mapped arrest is on the map: dark-red circles group nearby arrests and split as you zoom in; a white circle with a red ring is one exact case address. Race/sex filters update the map, the “Showing … arrests” count and the top-10 list below (this page has no charts). Street numbers are shown only for the top-10 addresses; other popups show the hundred block.

Caveats
- Case address ≠ cuff location. Arrest geography follows the address on the case record, not where the person was taken into custody.
- Counts ≠ rates. Marker numbers show raw coded event counts per exact spot or cluster. It is not adjusted for population, traffic volume, or overnight occupancy.
- NPD Open Data 2025. Built from Norman Police Department open datasets for calendar year 2025 (collisions, arrests, case details, calls-for-service geocodes). Gaps and geocode failures remain on the desk side.
- Race/sex filters apply to the mapped arrest points only (map, count and top-10 list); the stat cards and the collision map do not change, and the 148 arrests that could not be geocoded are not on the map.
Lead with the record. Map the coded address, label the uncertainty, refuse rate-talk without a denominator. No names on this page. Tips: tips@factsfirstok.com.
