Rainy Wednesday, Wet Pavement, One Very Bad Parking Job at the Tecumseh Walmart

NORMAN — Rain and Tecumseh Road traffic made an unhappy pair late Wednesday morning. Two cars ended up tangled near the entrance by the Walmart gas station, and a Norman police unit arrived with its lights on.

A Facts First reader photo shows a white sedan with front-end damage sitting against a low-slung dark sports car just off the roadway, with debris on the wet pavement. A Norman PD patrol car was on scene.

What we know: A two-vehicle collision was reported Oct. 14 near the Walmart on Tecumseh Road during heavy rain. Police responded.

What we don't know yet: Whether anyone was hurt, what caused the crash, or whether anyone was cited. Norman PD and local news had not posted anything about it as of this writing. We'll update this if they do.

Friendly reminder: On wet roads, leave extra following distance and slow down before you turn into a parking lot. Everything in that lot will still be there.
